First Reconciliation and First Eucharist

Welcome to the First Reconciliation and First Eucharist Program! All Baptized youth age seven and are pariticipating in a second grade program, School or Christian Youth Formation, can be prepared to receive both sacraments - - Reconciliation and Eucharist.

If a child is not baptized, please refer to the RCIA program. If your child is baptized and is over seven years of age and has not received Reconciliation and/or Eucharist, please refer to the RCIA progam.

We have a special First Reconciliation and First Eucharist program that is collaborated between Sacred Heart and St. John Nepomuk parishes. Our sacrament program is outlined to involve the family and child in the preparation of each sacrament through special scheduled family preparation sessions. Each family will also receive Sacrament Family Preparation booklets to help guide and prepare your child, at his/her own pace, in the comfort of your home.

In addition to the family preparation sessions, the child will also have additional study, of the sacraments, in the classroom setting with their second grade teachers - school and Christian Youth Formation Programs. We will work together to ensure that your child is receiving a sound understanding of the sacraments and will be ready to receive them.

Our program is created to involve the child to become part of church. They will have opportunities to gather together for fellowship, prayer and social activities.

"Blest are We" to be so fortunate to have the sacraments and to have each other to continue to build the Foundation of our Faith and Become one with God.
